a. Note:   BIO: OBITUARY: EARNEST GRIFFITH Funeral services were held for Earnest Harry Griffith Monday afternoon at his home east of Greenwood. Rev. Charles E. Mull and Rev. V. J. Murray were in charge. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
  Pall bearers were Victor Griffith, Charles Wright, Omer Lyons, John Kinnick, Dale Nay and William Rypma. The flowers were carried by girls from Clark township high school.
  Mr. Griffith, age 59 years, died Saturday morning 11 o'clock of heart disease. He had been ill about three years. The deceased was born on July 28, 1873, on a farm in Clark township and spent most of his life there. He was a son of Pressly R. and Mollie Griffith.
  On July 29, 1896. he married Alice Wright and to this union five children were born: Mrs. Letta Grubb of Rocklane, Clara Griffith, deceased, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Indianapolis, Miss Mary Olive Griffith, at home and John Griffith, at home.
  Mr. Griffith was a member of the Rocklane church. His father died in 1923 and his mother in 1916.
  Mr. Griffith is survived by the widow, four children and six grandchildren, Katherine and Stanley Smith of Indianapolis, Jean, Alice, Ernest, Martha Grubb of Rocklane; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Burgett and Miss Maude Griffith, both of Rocklane.
  Note: The name Letta Grubb should have been Leta Grubb. It was left as the newspaper reported it.
