Note: [Hoopers Main -A.GED] Lloyd was buried in Belmont Memorial Park cemetery with graveside services. The officiating Minister was Mr. Roger Johnson, Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dad was not a Seventh Day Church member, but Robert Hooper his youngest son was. Robert, requested Mr. Johnson's services to assist the family in saying goodby to DAD. As the family was young and just starting out DAD had a pet gander named OSCAR who liked to ride on his shoulder. There was also the family dog named Spot. As guardians of the family both Oscar and Spot would greet strangers as they drove into the yard. Oscar always on the drivers side and Spot on the passengers side. The people would look at Spot and decide that it would be better to go out the drivers door. But, of course that was wrong as all Spot wanted was to be petted. Of course you know that most of the time the person was gander bit and flogged by OSCAR. I would always run to mom hanging up the clothes on the line as there was OSCAR directly behind guiding my path straight for MOM. But, now I know MOM was just as afraid of OSCAR as I was 2 yrs old. The last house that DAD lived in was 2898 So. East Ave., Fresno,CA.
