a. Note:   Bruce was in the Air Force and was going through a divorce when he met Tammie. After his son died, he and Tammie parted ways and he met another woman. He was being criminally investigated in the military and that coupled with his divorce, his son's death, and the enormous debt load he's acquired was too much for him to bear. He took his own life using a shotgun within months after his son died.
