Note: Obituary Barbara Fisher was born in Perry Co., Ohio, March 11th, 1810 and died Oc t. 12th, 1900 aged 90 years, 7 months and 1 day. She was married to Geor ge Brochus ib February, 1836. In 1848 they moved to Allen county, Ohio, a nd located near Westminster. Her brother, John Fisher, came with them a nd was the first person buried in the Fisher cemetery. She was the moth er of Eleven children, five of whom preceded her to the "better country" S he had 46 grand children and 61 great-grand-children. When 18 she became a member of the Lutheran church and continued a faithf ul member until her death. The funeral service were held at the Fisher chu rch, South-east of Layayette. The discourse was preached by Rev. B. Van Va lkenburg from 1st Cor. 15-21, to a large and attentive audience, after whi ch the mortal remaines of Mother Brochus were laid away to rest in the Fis her cemetery, until Gabriel shall sound the funeral of the world.
