Note: Martin W Friend died in 1895 of being bitten by a rabid dog. He died ofHydrophobia. The newspaper clipping said it took several men to hold him down and finally at the last they had to tie him to the floor. He could have been married to a second wife as the article said he had a son 6 years old and one 6 mos at time of death. I haven't found that Mary C had any other children besides Mabel.
