As of Oct 1995 we have not been able to find a conclusive record that Daniel is the father of George Alec Sloniker, but the data that we have strongly indicates there is a father son relationship between these two individuals.
Daniel was in Woodbury TNSP of Bedford, PA from 1796 to 1802 as was indicated in that count's tax records. He was living in Huntingdon Co, Pa when he died in 1823. George was from this area and there are records indicating this as early as 1820.
Daniel was a blacksmith and George was a blacksmith/gunsmith.
The Orphan court records from Huntingdon, PA contain the petitions for a guardian of a minors Susannah, David, Jacob, and Joseph Sloniker in 1824 and 1825. It is reasonable to assume tha these were the children of Daniel. In Jacob's petition it states that he is to recieve monies from the estate of Frederick Hartle, Decd (this was Daniel's father in law)
