Attended Cutthorpe School started 23/10/1922 and left on two occasions.
Mr A. Needham (Brampton) Mr Alwyn Leslie Needham, of Heaton Street, Brampton, Chesterfield, has died at home, aged 87. Born in Cutthorpe, he had been a grocer. Mr Needham had served in the Navy and belonged to a naval association. He was devoted to his family. He leaves a widow, Joan, son Michael, daughter Elizabeth and grandchildren Peter, Sarah, James and Katie. Cremation is due to take place on Thursday, January 20 at 12.30pm at Chesterfield. During the war he was on leave from the navy and probably in Plymouth when he received a fractured scull and jaw. Derbyshire Times 9th May 1941
