  OBITUARY from Derbyshire Times
  A BROKEN THIGH Death of Mrs H NEEDHAM, Clay Cross Born at Ashover 80 years ago, Mrs Harriett Needham resided for a considerable period at Cutthorpe and Brampton, but for the last 18 years lived with her daughter, Mrs Arthur PURSGLOVE, High Street, Clay Cross.
  Following an illness of some 12 months owing to a broken thigh, death took place and the interment was at the local cemetery on Wednesday. The Rev. W Rider officiating. A funeral service was held in the Clay Cross Wesleyan Church. Chief mourners were Mr and Mrs F Needham (Son and daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs P J Lindley, Mr C W Pursglove, Mr and Mrs A Pursglove (sons-in-law and daughters). Grandsons acted as bearers, viz - Messrs L Lindley, O BRADBURY, V Kirkland, Alan Pursglove, Ronnie Pursglove and Willie Kirkland. There also attended Miss Lucy BRADBURY, Miss Blanche Lindley, Mrs Hancock, Mr L Lindley (grandchildren), Mr Herbert Needham, Abbey Farm Cutthorpe (brother-in-law, Mrs Kay (niece), Mr E Fletcher, Clay Cross (friend), Mr Herbert Bradder officiated at the organ.
  Wreaths were received from:- Fred and Ethel, Mabel and Percy, Polly and Walter, Hilda and Arthur, Leslie, Oscar, Victor, Willie, Alan and Ronnie, Gwenny and Lucy, Uncle Herbert (brother-in-law), Bertha (niece), Mrs Robinson (friend), Mrs P J Pursglove of Bawtry. A daughter was unable to attend owing to illness. The undertaker was Mr T Bailey, Clay Cross.
