Birth certificate and death certificate held by Ray Buck Marriage certificate details from Brian Armstrong. Witnesses Thomas Revill and Ellen STOKES Certificate of Death for Henry, State of Rhode Island date 12 June 1914 Place of death: Providence Place of resident: Cranston (an adjacent suburban city) Occupation: Silversmith birthplace: Sheffield, England Father's name: John Mother's name: Sarah Age 73 years, 7 months, 13 days
  Went to the USA through Ellis Island arriving on 11th August 1904 on The Majestic from Liverpool.
  According to the Gorham personnel cards (which in this case is pretty skimpy) he was hired 5 May, 1887. He worked in the O6 room, the Silver plated room) He had desk number 9 and was paid $15.50. He remained at that desk for his entire tenure at Gorham although on November 20th 1899 his pay level was raised to $28 3/4 He appears in the Payroll Ledger vol. 16 covering March 30-4 April 1890 and Oct 26- 3 Nov 1890.   In 1893 the Providence City Directory (PCD) (p.622) he is listed as a silversmith living at 326 Plain Street, Providence. He remained at that address throughout his years in Providence. 1896 PCD p.697 1910 PCD p.599 1911 PCD !912 PCD p. 639 1913 PCD p.643
  The personnel card indicates that he left on June 11th, and then he died 12 June so he must have died suddenly. The index to the Death records is volume 25, p.51. He was age 73 at his death.
