Obituary in the Eagle Newspaper "Death of Joseph TALBOT A well known Real Estate Dealer falls a victim to pneumonia Joseph TALBOT, one of the oldest real estate dealers in Brooklyn, died suddenly of pneumonia, at his home, 297 Park Place in the morning. He was in his 54th year. Mr Talbot was taken ill with an attack of influenza a week ago last Sunday, and the disease developed into pneumonia. Born in Somerset, England, in 1836, Mr Talbot came to America in 1855 and located in the West. He came to Brooklyn thirty years ago and opened a real estate and insurance office on Fulton Street, opposite the City Hall. He was the junior member of the firm of Decks & . For the past four years he has carried on a real estate business on Bedford Avenue. He was a member of Crystal Wave Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons, and the Aurora Grata Club. For 15 years he had been a pew holder in the church of the reformation on gates avenue. He leaves a widow and three daughters."
