a. Note:   Darlene Snyder, 76, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at her home in Winchester, Kan. after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 11, 1927 in Milford, Mo. to William Sloniker and Annie Elizabeth (Williams) Sloniker. She was a graduate of Carthage High School and worked as a seamstress and tent maker. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle, Kansas City. She married Ermal G. Snyder on Dec. 23, 1971 in Scotland, Mo.
  Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Beverly Herren, McLoud, Okla., Maxine Kline, Daphne, Ala., Nancy Hale, Winchester, Kan., Wanda Martin, Joplin, Veda Barnett, Copper Cove, Texas; five sons, Terry Brill, North Port, Fla., Gene Snyder, Neosho, Ray Brill, Diamond, Oscar Brill, Carterville, Cecil Brill, Duenweg, Mo.; two brothers, Joe Sloniker, Milo, Mo. Bill Sloniker, Carthage; five sisters, Maxine Lone, Carthage, Lucille Brooks, Alberta Hefley, Linden, Ark, Fern Ladesic, Oskaloosa, Kan., Lola Sloniker, Carthage; 20 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Alpha Sloniker, Ellen May Sloniker and Francis Fay Sloniker and five grandchildren.
  Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004 at the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Forest Park Cemetery, Joplin. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missouri Crippled Children's Association in care of the funeral home.
