1870 Greenup Co Kentucky found two listings for the same Augustus Thorn. The entries were two pages apart taken on the same day. 1870 Kentucky ,Greenup Census pg 38 Thorn Augustus 47 Ky Farm Laborer Julia 43 Ky Anna 18 Ky Seamstrefs Adeline 16 Ky George 10 Ky Amine 7 Ky I do believe this last entry was given by someone other than the family since Emeline or Adeline and George were listed as twins in 1860 Ohio Vinton Co Census. However they were listed as Emeline and James in 1860 Vinton Co Census. SO there is some confusion about thier actual names.
1880 Scioto Co Union Twnshp Ohio Augustine Thorne age 65 b Ohio (wrong age) but believe this is him as it is across the river from Greenup Kentucky where he was in 1870.
This could be Augustine Thorn -just not sure. Nov 29 1895 as date of death of James Thorne THORNE., JAMES -DIED AT THE RESIDENCE OF HIS SON-IN-LAW GEORGE MONK ON MILL ST. ON FRIDAY MORNING. HE WAS 65 YEARS OLD. THE FUNERAL WAS ON SATURDAY AT POND RUN.*
