Crowell, 72, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011. Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of First United Methodist Church Fort Worth. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: May be made to American Parkinson's Disease Association. Charles was born Aug. 7, 1939, in Fort Worth to Juanita and Lonnie Crowell. He was an accountant/enrolled agent for more than 25 years. Charles was a Fort Worth native and graduated from Birdville High School in 1957. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Charles was very active in many church activities and a member of the Optimist Club for many years. Special thanks to his caregivers, Rosie and Dolores Arredondo, and Universal Hospice for their excellent care. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles R. "Chris" Crowell Jr. Survivors: Wife of 21 years, Carol Henry-Crowell; daughters, Deborah and husband, Michael Minnick, Pamela and husband, Steven Palmer, and Paula and husband, Patrick Wagstaff; stepdaughter, Chalyse and husband, Adrian Mendoza; sister, Diane Hittson and husband, Gary; and grandchildren, Heather Self, Brendon, Alec and Kiri Palmer, Lainey and Zachary Wagstaff.
