  Allison Burr Talbot, or as he preferred "Al", was born on June 1, 1910 in Beatrice, Nebraska and passed away Thursday, January 18, 2007 in Midland, Texas at the age of 96.
  In 1932, Al married Bessie Louis Stevens and they had four children. He served in the Nebraska National Guard until World War II when he volunteered for the draft to serve in the United States Navy. He was assigned to the USS Rockwall in the Pacific Theater. Among his decorations is the Navy Combat Action Medal. After the war he rejoined the National Guard as patriotism was a key element to him. In 1953, Northern Natural Gas Company hired him and transferred the family to Fort Stockton as an electrician working for the Midland District Office. In 1954, he moved the family to Hobbs, New Mexico. In 1959, he was promoted to district engineer and moved to the Midland office. The company was purchased and the name was changed to ENRON. Al retired from ENRON in 1975 and took up RVing for a while. He was active in the SUEZ Shrine, York Rite and Scottish Rite activities, served as Master of his Lodge, also served ad Deputy Grand Master for the local Masonic District, served many years as Lodge secretary and really enjoyed the esoteric work. Al was a member of the National Sojourners, a HERO of '76, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion. He found time to serve the Texas State Guard where he was promoted through the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel and later retired as a Colonel.
  He was preceded in death by his wife, and a daughter, Linda Joyce Jones.
  Al is survived by two sons, Charles L. Talbot and his wife, Sue, of Fort Worth, TX; and Donald G. Talbot of Fayetteville, NC; and daughter, Susan Carol Stephan and her husband, Clinton, of Grandfalls, TX; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild
