Carter FORT WORTH - Lucille Burgess Carter, 84, a homemaker, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Lucille Burgess Carter was born May 9, 1912, in Taylor County near Abilene, but lived most of her life in Fort Worth. She was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church and was a former member of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Edgar Foy Carter, on May 27, 1985. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Herman T. Burgess and Ella Bogard Burgess; sisters, Vera Donoho and Gladys Teague; and brothers, Carl Burgess and Holt Burgess. She was a loving mother to her children and a special "Mom" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all loved her and will miss her very much. Survivors: Sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Barbara Carter of Azle and Randall and Sondra Carter of Fort Worth; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dan Wall of Bedford and Carole and Kenneth Fuqua of North Richland Hills; sister-in-law, Myrtle Mary Burgess of Lake Charles, La.; grandchildren, Niki S. Vinson and Danna C. Wall, both of North Richland Hills, Brent K. Wall of Hurst, Duane E. Carter of Pflugerville, Rhonda E. Mainard of Richardson and Barry L. Carter and B. Blake Carter, both of Fort Worth; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
