  After her husband died she left one married daughter in TN.and came to Cotton Gin,Freestone,TX about 1878. She brought her daughters and one son,Charlie with her-Daisey, Lillian, Annie, Fannie Jennie,Ellen & Martha. She lived in Mexia,TX for a short time and then came to Dallas and lived with her daughter Lillian for the rest of her life. Louisa was a little dainty person yet of strong character; she broke her leg when in her eighties and walked again. She always wore a white dress with small black or blue figures on it and a white apron, but on Sunday it was always a black taffeta dress and bonnet. She smoked a samll corn cob pipe and lived to tell stories of her years in TN and the Civil War. Once some union soldiers came to her home and made her cook breakfast for them, then stole her horses when they left. There were also stories about her husband's uncle Stonewall Jackson. She was almost blind in her later years and where ever she visited someone read books to her as that was the entertainement she wanted. She lived to be 94 years old. Her daughter Isabelle b. 1860-d 1865 in Franklin,Williamson,TN. Her husband was Irwin Bennett Jackson b.abt 1831 TN died 28 Dec 1881 in Sewannee,Franklin,TN. He is in the 1880 Census and listed as a carpenter. His father was b in Ky-William Buck Jackson.His mother was Rebecca Speake. He could not read or write.
