Birth: Jun. 24, 1860 Missouri, USA Death: Jun. 5, 1936 Oregon, USA Independence- June 6-Robert William Percival died at Independence June 5. Hew as born in Cass county, Missouri, on Feb. 24, 1860. He came to Oregon in 185, locating at Independence. Later he bought a hopyard, now owned by Walker & Son, which he operated for 10 years. Selling this he went to eastern Oregon, where he operated a cattle ranch for a number of yers. Mr. Percival went back to Missouri in 1909. He was united in marriage to Mittie Mott at Salisburg, Missouri on June 24, 1910, coming to Oregon the same year and ssettling at Dayville. Here he had a contract for carrying mail between Canyon City and Mitchell and at the same time operating a stage line. He returned to Independence in 1912, where he has since resided. He is survived byhis wife, and one daughter, Wilma, of Portland; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Lulu Rucker and Mrs. Betty Kraig, of Roanoke, Missouri and R.R. Percival of Salisburg, Missouri. Services will be held from the Keeney Funeral home Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. Rev. Ben W. Davis, pastor of the Methodist church, will officiate.
