a. Note:   See Notes Sweetie never married.
Sweetie was a school teacher most of her life. She got her Texas Teaching Certificate in Rains County, after having taught in several other states. She died penniless, another victim of her brother Bobs' drinking. She is buried next to Roy and Mary in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The plot was originally purchased for Ward, but being as though he had plots for himself and Doris, he donated the space for Sweetie to be buried. In her latter years, with failing eyesight, she accidently burned down the family home place on Roosevelt Ave. She had accumulated a wealth of family history information, all went up in smoke. She would not let anybody see any of the material, claiming she wanted it completed before showing it to anybody. Her failing memory did not allow for recovery of any of the information on the family history. She lived with her brother Bob in his house on Columbus Ave., for a short while, but eventually ended up in a rest home.
