Note: Pearl and M. J. owned the 10th st. Drug Store in downtown Ft. Worth in the area known as "Hells Half Acre" during the early party of the 20th century. The County took it by condemnation for the Tarrant County Convention Center. The county paid twice as much for a 25 foot wide bldg. next to the drug store. The drug store had a 25 foot front on two streets and a corner opening. However, later learned from employment at county that the 25 foot vacant bldg. was owned by a consortium of local big wigs and county officials as silent partners.
