Notes
a. Note:   Frank worked his whole life at American Mfg. Co. going from an employee to plant Superintendent. During his years as Super, the owner of the company afforded Frank the opportunity to join in several land investments which made Frank wealthy or at least near wealthy. Kathleen died the year after Ward Bogard, and Frank and Doris Bogard became fast friends between 1986 and 1990 when due to declining health problems they were both pretty much homebound. During the VietNam war, Frank was plant supt. for American Mfg. Co. making shells and bomb casings. He and Nig moved from Cottonwood St. to North Tarrant County. All the phone service in that area was shared party lines. When Frank applied for service he was told he could only get a shared party line and that a private line would not be available for 6months to a year. Frank told the owner of American the circumstances, which were not acceptable. Ed Lott owner of the company contacted the Secretary of Defense and told him of the problem. Within 24 hours, Southwestern Bell was putting up poles and strining line for a secured private line to Franks' residence. Frank was an accomplished pianist, playiing by ear. He could listen to a song and go to the piano and play it back. He took up the accordian and played until he lost the end of 2 fingers in an industrial accident at the plant.
