CHICOPEE : Madeline F (Conklin) Stanley, 86, formerly of 3 VolpeDrive,a retired 15- y r telephone operator at Springfield Municipal Hospital died Friday in a local nursing home . B rn in Springfield, she lived in the city most of her life and was a 1925 graduate of Cathedral High School. She moved here in 1972. She was a past president of the Volpe Citizen s club and a member of the Apostolate of the suffering. She was also past friend of the Sisters of St . Joseph , and a past recording secretary and vice president of the Residence Counci l at the Mediplex Nursing Home in Holyoke. Her husband William F stanley died in1970.She leaves a daughter, Mary E Skorupski of Agawams Feeding Hillssection, and four grand children . The funeral will be Monday at Agawam funeral Home and St. Theresas Church, with burial at St. Michaels Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours are Sunday evening and memorial contributions may be made to the Church at 74 bridge St.Agwam, 01001 or Mt. Marie, Holyoke, 0 1040.
