Note:   The mother of Marie Celestine I DE LA Roche (1801) also called Celestine, (1766-1846) was a lady in waiting to Marie Antoinette And escaped to England at some time during the French Revolution and she escaped to England at some time during the French Revolution. She was reputedly a lady of title , possibly Belgian. One story is that she was smuggled aboard a fishing boat, dressed in fishermen's clothes, and that her brother , Peter DE LA Roche, a member of the King's Guard , was not so lucky and was captured and guillotined. At some point , she was known as the "widow TONDEUR" and then after she married a Richard Kenning. -- Caroline Scott research
