Matilda-(Tillie) Rivers Keens was my grandmother who gave from her heart in everything that she did with us. she visted us often in Milford, CT on her day off by traveling on an open trolly from new Haven and returning at night. She always preach eating good food and fruits. Mostly she made you feel the value of love that she had for us all and that we were very imprtant people to her life. She taught us to turn the other cheek if offended by others and not retaliate in response. (took me a long time to learn that one) She showed us the enjoyment of family by playing card games and reading to us. She could make you feel better when you were sick by her presence and soothing hand on your head and her always gentil smile to cheer us up. She gave freely of anything she had to give even if she went without. My Children loved her as I did and always gave back to her their love of this beautiful woman God gave us to share with Him.
