Note: From Palo, Iowa? Fayette, Linn County, Iowa Alden Jr.'s birth certificate says Earle was 38 at the time of Alden's birth - born 1874? If so, he would have been only 16 when he graduated from Cornell College. Perhaps he graduated later? I think the 1863 birth date is correct. Joe Stamper of Antlers knew Eunice and Earle - claims Earle once said he was a cousin of Gen MacArthur I was told he came from a wealthy farming family in Ohio. B.S. in 1890 from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa M.S. in (?) from University of Colorado Came to the Choctaw Nation in 1899 as Superintendant of Indian Schools Taught in the schools of Colorado and Oklahoma and for the past 8 years ('30-'38) was superintendant of schools in Clayton, Pushmataha County, OK. Spent past 28 summers ('10-'38) in Chatauqua Park, Boulder, CO Lived in Atoka until 1918 When they moved to Colorado (Oak Creek). Retained their Atoka Home until (1930?) Funeral services in Atoka, buried in West View Cemetery with Masonic rites. Considered a "...thoughtful, sympathetic man. whose unfailing courtesy and graciousness endeared to everyone.
