Hutchinson, Judge, the plaintiff appearing in person and by her attorney, Karl Edmunds, and the defendant appearing by his attorneys, Healy & Healy & Shull, Farnsworth & Sammis, the court found the allegations in plaintiff's petition contained are true and that plaintiff is entitle to the relief therein demanded and to a decree to divorce from the defendant on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment. The marriage was dissolved, and said parties had restored all rights of unmarried persons, except the right to marry within one year from this date any person than each other, the plaintiff pay the cost of this actions. The plaintiff Martha O. Wendell, was awared sole care, custody and control of the minor son, Theodore Ronald Wendell. (He had been born on 05 Feb. 1911in Correctionville, Woodbury Co. IA) The plaintiff, Martha O. Wendell, is hereby awarded the sum of $300.00 as permanent alimony and Theodore R. Wendell, is hereby ordered and directed to pay said sum to said plaintiff which alimony has been fully paid.

"Martha Wendell - 82, of 651, 32nd St. N.E, died Monday following a long illness. A Cedar Rapids resident since 1924, she was born March 7, 1890, in Maquoketa. A retired employed of the Savanna Ordnance Department, Savanna, ILL, she was a member of the First Christian Church where she had been a member of the Business Women's class and the Hanover chapter of the Eastern Star in Savanna. Survivors are a son, Theodore Ronald Wendell, Cedar Rapids, and a granddaughter. Services: Thursday noon at the First Christian Church by the Rev. John M. Hardy. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Turner East until 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church from 11 to 11:55 a.m. Thursday. The casket will remain closed following the service.
