a. Note:   ' Miss Clara Edwards, 1882-1958, she one of seven children born to Elijah and Lucinda Edwards. She was b. 9 Jun 1882 on a farm nr. Correctionville, and has lived or nr this community all of her life. She attended rural school and school in Correctionville. Miss Edwards made her home with her parents and stayed with them until their death, since which time she and her brother, Eugene made their home together. She spent a great deal of time in various homes around the area. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Correctionville. Clara had been confined to her home in the past years and after a short stay in a hospital she passed away at the age of 76 in a nursing home in Sioux City, on Wed. 25th Jun. 1958. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister who died in infancy. She is survived by three brothers, John M., Laurence J., & Eugene Correctionville, a sister Mrs. Florence Pease, Niobrara, NE., Services for Clara Edwards were held Friday 27 June at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilson-Hull Funeral Home. Rev. C.Q. Wallace officiating, Patty Harte, accompanied by Dean Cockburn at the organ, sang, "Old Rugged Cross, and Beyond the Sunset and Does Jesus Care." Nelson Foster drove the car of Mrs. Art Morgan and Mrs. Winifield Mead, who care for the flowers. Nephews of Miss Edwards were pallbearers and Cleve Robinson arranged the cars. Interment in was the Correctionville Cemetery.
