IA,OH,OH, Luke Heath Falls Death - Heart Attack Fatal as He Was Helping on the Farm Monday and the End Came Quickly. the community was shocked Monday afternoon to learn of the death of Luke Heath, an old and honored citizen of Correctionville. Death came suddenly as he was resting on a load of lumber which he and his son-in-law had taken to the farm of Pete Harder, where he lives south of town. Mr. and Mrs. Heath lived in this community for many, living until recent years on their farm three miles south of town. Luke Heath, the son of James Sylvester and Minerva Heath, was born in Jackson County, Iowa, Jan, 13, 1852, being one of a family of five sons and four daughters. In 1874 he was married to Katheryn Edwards of Maquoketa, Iowa, and to them were born six children of whom five are now living. Callie died several years ago. Forty-three years ago the family came to this section of the state and took up residence on a farm and continued to live there until 12 years ago when they came to town. they moved back to the farm a few years ago and a year ago last spring finally decided to retire from farm life permanently. Though not in the best of health for a number of years yet he was seemingly in his usual condition Monday and was assisting his son-in-law with some work in the country when he suddenly fell to the ground. Mr. Barton and the Harder family did all that could be done to revive him but the end had come. He leaves his widow, five children, 18 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren and a host of friends to grieve for his loss. Funeral were held at the Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.A. Kettle, and interment was made in the Correctionville Cemetery. Funeral arrangement were in the hands of the Wilson Service. Cards of Thanks:Words cannot express our appreciation of the kindest and the sympathy shown us in the loss of our loved one.
