Note: Emery was a Federal Lawman for the U.S. Gov't. He had settled in Curtis, NE, after leaving Edgar, NE. He died at his home in Curtis after being shot in WY when on assignment seeking horse theieves. Emery is the brother of Eli and Matthew.
