  John Earl, Jr. and his wife Zebiah (or Zehiah or Tabiah) left two sons and six daughters from whom many later families descend. They are named in a record (November Court of Granville County North Carolina,1810) as heirs of "John Earl, deceased, who left estate of about 2000 pounds in personal property, administered only by the widow and relict, Tabiah Earle" The same record indicates he died in 1799.
