  Margaret Pearl Manning decided to go by the name Pearl Margaret Manning. She is listed on her son's birth certificate as Margaret Pearl Manning. Howard and Pearl had 3 boys who died; Wesley, Glen and the name of the other boy is Unknown. They are buried in Red Hill Cemetery(#2) or the Red Hill Annex, Speedwell, Claiborne County, Tennessee.
  According to Foster Manning, Pearl's half-brother, they were playing hide-and-seek when John William Earl "kidnapped" Pearl and helped Howard Earl and Pearl to elope.
  In the 1920 Census, Howard, Pearl and Edith are listed.
 Howard and Pearl divorced on February 26, 1929 in Harlan County, Kentucky.

  In this Census, everyone in this family is listed as being born in Tennessee. Pearl, Myrtle and Ray were born in Kentucky. Pearl's children are listed as the children of Frank. They were actually his step-children.
  Pearl got her Social Security Number while she was married to Frank Reid. On the application, she says her mother is Ally Myra Mason and her father is Andrew Jackson Manning. I have a copy of this application. Grandma and Dad were living with Edith and Elmer Johnson when she and Frank got divorced in the late 1930's.

 Pearl moved to North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana, in 1942. She came from Greenville, Tennessee. She was a member of the Baptist Church and Women of the Moose Lodge.
  Pearl is listed as a factory worker on her marriage license to HarleyA. Sincroft. I have a copy of this marriage license. Pearl is buried beside Harley Sincroft in North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana.
  She married Harley Sincroft in 1944. He died in 1951. In 1953, she married William Lambert. He died in 1966.

 Pearl finished High School through a correspondence course. She loved to read. She had a big bookcase of books in her living room that Iremember. She wrote a book. It was published, but she never sold a lot of copies. It was a book of research about something. I don't have a copy.
  Pearl got the training she needed to own and run a private nursing home. She only had a few patients at a time.
  Pearl owned several properties. Her daughter and son-in-law, Myrtle and Gerald Ream, lived in one of the houses next door to Pearl.

 Pearl's funeral services: 2 p.m., June 15, 1971, Bender Funeral Home,Inc., North Manchester, Indiana. Reverand Theron Hanes officiated. Burial: Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana. (Pearl was living with Lloyd and Thelma Smelser when she died.)
