 Some of John's family came from Ireland. John's Mother was crippled in one leg, and she had bright red hair. She was called Rose.

 John was buying Christmas presents when he hit a patch of ice, and his car went up a tree and he died. He was 47 years old. The funeral service was held at his home, 1325 Storey Avenue at 1:30p.m. At 2 p.m., the service was at the McDaniel Funeral Home, 1339 Park Boulevard. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park. John was a mechanic at Eline Chevrolet Company, 3914 Frankfort Avenue. He died around midnight at General Hospital. His automobile accident was about 3:45 p.m.

 John Anderson worked at a ship yard in Jeffersonville, Clark County, Indiana that made LST's for the Navy during World War II. He was a welder.
  The LST's were sailed down the Mississippi River to the Gulf of Mexico, then to various ports. The Navy dredged the Mississippi River to make this possible. That is how my Dad met his future father-in-law. Dad was on one of this "shakedown cruises" down the Mississippi. John was also on the ship.
