a. Note:   Matilda Hopple is buried in the cemetary directly behind the St. Andrews U.M.C. Church in Hegins, PA.
 On the tombstone it is "Frank Hopple", probally because Franklin was too long for the tombstone. "Matilda" is buried with him and is on the same tombstone.
 A small tombstone along side this one has "Lester L." indicated "son of Rufus and Kate Hoppel, died
 Feb. 1, 1897, age 7 Month 25 days."
 Note the different spelling of "Hopple" and "Hoppel". This confirms that the name Hopple and Hoppel are one and the same.
