a. Note:   MRS. ETTA STANLEY Mrs. Etta Stanley, 58, 309 North Chicago avenue, passed away about 11:55 o'clock Saturday night in a Freeport hospital following a lingering illness. Mrs. Stanley, formerly Miss Etta Anderson, was born at Forreston, Ill., Jan. 29, 1882, the daughter of Harm and Alice Anderson. She was united in marriage to Edward Ward, also of Forreston, who passed away in 1910. To this union three children were born. In 1925 she was married to Hazel Stanley, also of Forreston, who passed away in 1931. In recent years she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Pierce, 309 North Chicago avenue, Freeport. For many years she was a member of the Forreston Evangelical church and of its home department. She is survived by three children, Lawrence E. Ward of Chicago, Mrs. Lucille Pierce of Freeport, and Edward Ward, residing near Freeport; two brothers, John Anderson of Adeline, Joseph Anderson of Oregon, and three grandchildren, Jeanne Ward of Chicago, William Mooney Jr., and Donald Pierce, of Freeport. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the DeGraff funeral home in Forreston. Burial will be made in White Oak cemetery at Forreston. Friends may call at the DeGraff funeral home.
