Note: PHYLLIS BRINKMEIER Mrs. Phyllis N. (R. W.) Brinkmeier, 64, of 104 N. Grove Ave., died Friday morning at Freeport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was employed as a deputy clerk at the Freeport City Hall. Born April 12, 1920, in Stockton, she was the daughter of Walter and Maude (Rhodes) Dow. On May 20, 1949, she married R. W. "Pete" Brinkmeier in Freeport. He died in 1973. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Julie (Ken) Beach of Freeport; two sons, Bruce of Minneapolis, Minn., and Thomas of Lena; and one grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Walker Mortuary. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation. A memorial fund has been established for the Freeport Public Library.
