Note: ALLEN J. NEEBEL Allen J. Neebel, 521 W. Clark St., died Friday evening in Freeport Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born July 2, 1914, the son of Hugo and Melissa (Albright) Neebell. On March 3, 1937, he married the former Helen Brinkmeier. Mr. Neebel was a member of the First English Lutheran Church of Freeport. He was employed by Burgess Battery Co. for the past 10 years. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Donald of Pecatonica, and Ronald of Mount Carroll; a granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. William (Ethel) Lobdell of Lena, and Mrs. Christian (Eileen) Bates of Freeport; two brothers, Cloide and Elvin, both of Lena. Funeral service will be held at First English Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Nels Bengtson, pastor of the church will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Sunday to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Schwarz Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established for the Allergy Foundation of America.
