MRS. JOHN MOONEY Mrs. John Mooney, 28 S. Johanna Ave., died in Benjamin Stephenson Nursing Home Tuesday night. She had been a patient there for two days. The former Gertrude Dague was born in Lanark Nov. 3, 1880, the daughter of Rudolph H. and Catherine Dague. She was married to John Mooney in Freeport Jan. 9, 1900. He died March 21, 1951. She was a member of First Methodist Church for 60 years. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. William Sturtevant of Eleroy; and a brother John of Hiawatha, Kan. She was preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Mortuary with Rev. Donald T. Olson, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10 a.m. Friday.
