Notes
a. Note:   Richard Montgomery TIGNER was reported by descendant to be oldest of 7 children. The 1850 census of persons living in Washington County, PA Listed Richard age 31, Rueanne, age 52, William, age 29, Amanda, age 21, and a Reason TIGNER, age 16. The age spread allows for an additional 3 who would probably be in their twenties. Rueanne TIGNER was in the same household as William TIGNER and was of the right age to be mother of the seven. A John TIGNER was listed on the 1820 census in Virginia, and on the 1830 census in western Pennsylvania. No proof that he was the father, but he was the only adult TIGNER in the area at that time.
b. Note:   RI1
Note:   (Research):family data has been that Richard Montgomery Tigner and Amy Tarr had eleven children, with seven surviving at Amy's death. A researcher, Jane Fulcher of Avella, PA reported to Patricia Hutcherson that there are three marked and one unmarked graves beside that of Amy Tarr in the Grove Church Cemetery (West Middletown, PA ?) They are marked as follows: John Tigner, died 20 Mar, 1843, age 4 years; Lorinda Tigner, died 27Oct, 1847, 1 Year, 3 months, 8 days; Elizabeth Tigner, died 10 Sep 1851.
Reasonable assumption is : John was born in the same year as Thomas McCall and possibly was a twin. His death age of 4 years would put his birth at March 1839 and Thomas McCall was born in August 1939.
Lorinda was born in 1846, probably July or August, which would place her between Lydia and Jonathan.
Elizabeth has no age shown, so she may have died at birth
