  Rocky Mountain News, 13 Nov 1943, Lester Landis died Wednesday 13 Nov, 1943 in Denver General Hospital. He was 60 years old. He was born 28 Mar 1883 in Calhoun , IA and came to Colorado with parents as a child. In 1921 he was employed by the Denver Fire Clay Company until a recent illness. Before that he worked for the Imperial Coal Company and CF&I.
  Presumably died from asthma (more likely Blacck Lung Disease)
  Moved to Denver before 1921. They lived at 2930 Williams Street.
