Note: A story which was given to me about how Carrie Mathews received her name. They were living in a coal mining town when she was born and a neighbor had a calf. The neighbor's name was Mathews and he told the family if they named this child after him he would give them the calf. They did that and I suppose they got the calf.
Carrie Mathews was divorced at Denver, CO in 1917.
