Comments: Information sent Aug 1997 to Eileen D. HARLOW from James L.PEEL of 1260 Meadow Land, Frankfort, KY 40601-4574: "Thomas DAVIS (b:cir 1803) was mentally handicapped and did not marry. He apparently diedin a fire some time in 1855. His sister, Elizabeth made a depositionJuly 14, 1855 at GUNN's Chapel. She had made the bed of her brotherThomas DAVIS, of feeble mind, and it was a straw bed with an old featherbed to cover him. Saw no fire. Said she was a sister to Thomas DAVISand Sam DAVIS. Said she lived one year on another brother's placeadjoining and another brother's place a mile away. Had been 2 or 3 or 4miles from Sam DAVIS. Had six children which she raised pretty muchherself. Elizabeth signed with an "X".
