  Alternate surname: Bowen
  [thomas.FTW] research of Louise Loebig, Pittsburg, Pa. Because of a dispute with one of his
 brothers, James changed the spelling of his last name from Bowen, to Boian;
 Thus his direct descendants today are found with the spelling Boian.
 James was already spelling his name Boian when he applied for a bond to
 marry his first wf, Elizabeth Fortune., dtd 20 July 1798

 1810 Amherst Co Va census, 2 m und 10, one m 26 - 45 yrs; 4 f und 10, one f 26
 - 45 yrs. James and Zera had 2 boys, and 3 girls by the time of the 1810
 census. His lst wf died when she and James had only been marr'd abt. 2
 yrs.She may have died in child birth. The 1810 census lists ONE GIRL more than
 what James and Zera had - therefore, I assume the extra girl born before 1810
 was a dau of James and Elizabeth Fortune Boian.
 James Died, age 52. It is assumed he died in Nelson Co Va since he was there
 w/ his family in 1816. His brother John died just a few months before him.
 He was in Nelson Co Va on the 1816 property tax list w/ one horse. Some members
 of the Eubank family also lived in Nelson Co.
