Note: Found a Susanna West living in Linn County, Franklin Twp, Iowa in 1870 page 149 of the 1870 Federal Census. she may be the wife of Joseph West
Could not find records of Joseph and Susanna West in Ohio.
It is possible that they moved west to Iowa after William joined the Civil War
in 1863 to 1864. We know William moved west after the War and married Elizabeth Billings
in 1867. He was 18 yrs old. She died in 1883.
I found a William and Elizabeth West in the 1870 Federal Census on page 10 of the Delaware County,
Adams Twp.census.
William remarried to Ellen Blackwell in 1885
