Note: Listed in the 1900 Census, which was taken on June 4, 1900, was Frank (age 37), Katie (age 36) who immigrated in 1881 from Ireland, James H. (son age 13), William J. (son age 11) , Katie M. (daughter age 7) and Frank's brother-in-law, William Kanny, age 27. William came from Ireland in 1884. Frank owned his home, and he worked in a boot factory as did William Kanny. All were living in Medway.
Listed in the 1910 Census which was taken between 23-25 April. Lived on Milford St in the town of Medway. He was 47 and his wife Catherine E. was also 47. They had been married for 24 years. They had 3 children, James, Catherine M and William J (my grandfather). Catherine was 16 and Wm J. was 20. Frank worked as a heeler in a shoe shop and Wm worked as a towerman for the railroad. Both of Frank's parents and Catherine's parents were born in Ireland. Also living with them was Alice F. Gorham, age 14. She was Catherine's niece. Both of Alice's parents had died and the McLaughlins took her in. Living just down the street from Frank was his brother, Wm J. with his wife Alice J and their 3 children.
According to the 1920 Census, Frank, now widowed, is living with his daughter, Catherine M., now 26, and Alice F. Gorham, now 24. Frank is working as a heeler at a shoe factory, Catherine is a repairer at a shoe factory, and Alice is a stitcher at a shoe factory. Also living with Frank is a brother-in-law, Peter J. Kenney, age 36. He was born in Mass. and both of his parents were born in Ireland.
Listed in the 1930 census which was taken on April 14, 1930. Living with Frank was his daughter Katherine, age 36, working as a packer in a factory. Alice Gorham, age 33, was also living with the family. She was employed as a booter at a boot factory.
