He died 1705 but is still mentioned here lease of 25 March 6 Anne [1707] by Jonathan, lord bishop of Exeter to John Bloys, Thomas Worth, James Kemp, Peter Hallamore, Thomas Hearde, Ambrose Worth, John Worth, Joseph Penhallow, Thomas Code, Thomas Worth jun., Samuel Kemp, Arthur New
 man and Valentine Ennys, principal burgesses of Penryn, of lordship of Penryn, borough of Penryn and all premises, for lives of John son of James Kemp, John son of Thomas Hearle and Edward son of Joseph Hodge, for yearly rent of �12-5-6.
 One life on lease still alive, premises are in possession of mayor and burgesses; half a year's rent is now due.Endorsed: statement that on 29 June 1745 Nicholas Webber made demand for payment of the rent at 6 o'clock in the evening; waited at the Bishop's palace until half past eight in the evening "when it was too late to Discurne or tell Money"; t
 he wicket at the fore gate leading into the palace was open all the time, "the porter constantly attending" but no money was paid.
 Statement that on 3 July 1745 Philip Webber entered and took possession of the Guildhall and market place of Penryn and all its rights and properties to the use of the lord bishop of Exeter, that the lease should be void for non-payment of
 rent.

  1747 the first wife of Dr. Turner was Catherine Bawden, widow of Thomas Code of Penryn.
