a. Note:   Farmer and Stonemason. Moved with his parents from New York to Morrow County, Ohio in 1832. In 1847 he came with his uncle, Benjamin Campbell Pickel, to Florence Twp., Williams Co., Ohio and settled a short distance north of Columbia. The old home is still standing. In 1856 he and his wife moved to Iowa but they only stayed there one year before coming back to Williams Co. He lived in Northwest Twp. for 42 years.
  His will is in Book 8, pg. 364. It was dated 25 march 1905.
