Note: According to his daughter, Alice L. Taylor, R.H. Taylor chased Poncho Via and Charged up San Juan Hill with Teddy Roosevelt. He was once thrown from his horse during a battle and ended up in some cactus, the spines of which went into his belly. He carried those spines in him for the rest of his life.
He played guitar.
He is listed in the 1910 U.S. Census for Addyston Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. It shows that at that time he was living with his in-laws, James and Nancy Wells. His wife Nellie and his daughter Alice Lorraine are there with him. Here is the info from that record:
