a. Note:   Adora Ann Heckman, 104, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Zeigler, Ill., passed away at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, in Sandpiper Bay Nursing Home in Wichita.
  Adora was born Aug. 15, 1901, in Grand Tower, to George Henry and Martha Caroline (Rendelman) East. She married Henry Heckman March 3, 1920, in Cairo. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1974. She is survived by a granddaughter and her husband, Pat and R.J. Reilley of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; four grandsons, Danny D. Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla., Henry J. and Sandra Davidson of Vallejo, Calif. And Charles and Joe Boner, both of Benton; seven great-grandchildren, Stacy Brantley, Toni Alligier, Matthew and Joshua Davidson, Zachariah and Chelsea Stewart and Jodie Boner; and one great-great-grandson, Jake Brantley.
  Her parents; two daughters, Martha L. Combs and Virginia Ann Boner; an infant son, Henry Joseph Heckman; and a brother, John Jefferson East also preceded her in death.
  Adora was a member of United Methodist Church in Zeigler and a 50-year member of the Zeigler Eastern Star chapter.
  Graveside services for Mrs. Heckman will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, in Zeigler Cemetery, with the Rev. Rolland Devor officiating.
  There will be no visitation family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Heckman may be made to the Zeigler United Methodist Church, 106 Wilcox Ave., Zeigler, IL 62999. Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler is in charge of the arrangements.
