* In April 1942, retired as President of the Washington Country Club * Promoter of annual Tulip Festival for 5 years
* President of the Beaufort County Storage Warehouse * Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tayloe Hospital
* Rev. L. B. Jones conducted funeral service, assisted by M. O. Fletcher
