Clara V. Matthews, Great Grandmother of 8 Middlesex Borough-Clara V. Matthews, 85, died Wednesday September 30, 1998 at her home. Born in New York City, Mrs Matthews lived in Plainfield before moving to Middlesex 28 years ago. She was a homemaker. Her Husband, Frank Matthews, died in 1977. Surviving are three daughter, Beverly Knef of Iselin, Alice Schoemann of Princeton Junction and Patricia Matthews of Hillsborough; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30am Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church in Middlesex.
