Obit June 1897 John G. Eadey Dead One of the oldest and most familiar residents of Hazleton, John G. Eadey died at his home on South Church St at 5 o'clock last evening, of general debility. Mr. Eadey was for many years employed by the Lehigh Valley Company, and had charge of the tools in the repair department of this section. He had been unable to do any work for the past 10 years. He was one of the founders of Hazle Lodge, I.O.O.F and was loyal to the order until claimed by death. He is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter, John, Robert and William Eadey of this city, and Mrs Samuel Schuler, of Jeddo. Notice of funeral in another column. Death of a Former Resident June 1897 A dispatch was received here yesterday announcing the death of Mrs George Brown, of Bethlehem. Deceased was a resident here many years ago and is well known among the older residents. She was aged 80 years and a sister of Mrs. Joseph Grenawalt, Mrs John Eadey and Mrs. Tinney, all of whom survive her. A peculiar coincidence about his death is the fact that some time after the message was received, the death of John Eadey, a brother in law occurred.
